2004
Multicultural Fest & Parade

In
spite of overcast skies and rain, the 2004 Multicultural
Fest & Parade was a huge success. Spring
Branch Super Neighborhoods, in partnership with
Wal-Mart and the City of Houston, held the second
annual Multicultural Fest
Parade. Visit the Image
Gallery to "see the fun".
The
Parade began at 10:00 am at Wal-Mart Neighborhood
Market (7960 Long Point) going West on Long
Point 1.6 miles through the historical heart
of Spring Branch, to St. Peters Church. The
Parade’s theme, “Cherished Memories
- Past & Present ” provided a fun,
whimsical opportunity to revisit cherished times
in our lives.
The
parade included a wedding float where a wedding
ceremony was held, as well as the renewal of
50 year and 25 year vows.

The
parade also included local school marching bands,
Scout Troops, floats from civic associations,
businesses, and churches, horse drawn carriages,
antique and specialty vehicles, and neighbors
dressed in costume. It was a spectacular display
for Spring Branch. We hope you came out for
the fun in spite of the rain!
